Swim Team
Join the Swim Team! All swimmers are welcome – no experience in competitive swimming is necessary but you do need to be able to swim at least two lengths of a pool in front crawl. Please see Coach DL or Coach Appleby for an information package.
Take Your Kid to Work Day
Grade 9 students across Canada will attend their parent’s, relative’s or appropriate adult’s place of employment on Wednesday, November 1st. Barrie North grade 9 students are reminded to have their completed permission form returned to their homeroom teacher by Friday, October 27th. Extra permission forms may be obtained from the Co-op Department in room 223.
Mathleague
Mathleague Day is tomorrow in Room 234 all day. Please come by to write the 1/2 hour competition during lunch or any period. If you have any questions please see Mrs. MacPhail in Room 234.
Cundles Heights – Volunteers Needed
Cundles Heights is running a Wellness Day on November 16 and they need volunteer group leaders. This is a great opportunity for Cundles grads to get volunteer hours and free snacks! Drop into the Guidance office to sign up.
Art Club
This Thursday will be the first Art Club meeting in Room 230 at lunch. Anyone who wants to be creative is invited to join. Work on your own project or participate in a group mural project.
Travel Opportunities
Attention to all those interested in travel! There will be a representative from the Canadian Educational Exchange Foundation at Barrie North tomorrow in Room 108 at lunch.
Women in the Trades
Attend the Women in the Trades conference on November 7. Mr. Ritchie has permission forms in Guidance. See him ASAP as spots are secured with a signed form.
Volunteers Needed!
Mr. Ritchie is looking for students in Grades 10-12 to volunteer at the Grade 8 “Picture Yourself at North” day on November 1st. See him in Guidance to sign up to volunteer your time. Community Service hours and cookies are available to those who give their time!
