TNL is now The Georgian Football Festival
Get your Green and Gold on!
Thursday Night Lights has been changed to the Georgian Football Festival, which will now take place during the day on Thursday, October 1st at the Barrie Sports Complex. North will be playing Eastview.
All students must wear green and gold to attend. Tickets will be sold by Sports North for $10. The schedule for the day is as follows:
9:30 Students attend Period 2 classes for attendance
9:40 – 10 Pep Rally for Spirit (Main Gym)
10:00 Loading Buses @ side of school
10:45 Player Introductions at Barrie Sports Complex
11:00 Kickoff Senior Game
1:00 Junior Game to Follow
1:30 Buses Loading for return to North
1:45 Buses Depart Sports Complex
2:15 Return to Barrie North
2:30 Regular bus routes
Those students who are not attending will be supervised at Barrie North by school staff.
Scientifically Yours (Brock University)
Are you in Grades 10 and 11? Consider attending this two-day experience at Brock U. Activities include hands-on science projects, networking with career scientists, learning about careers in Science, andexperiencing residence and university life.
The Teenage Brain – A Workshop for Parents
On September 23rd, Barrie North Collegiate welcomes community psychiatrist, Dr. Marcia Benjamin, who will be discussing learning and the adolescent brain.
The presentation will include topics and research on teenage learning, motivation, memory and health conditions. Parents and students will gain knowledge about specific learning strategies for adolescents.

“Calling all young artists! The Youth Arts Program at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario invites youthaged 12-18 to display their artwork in the Legislative Building in Toronto from November 23, 2015 through March 18, 2016.
