Holiday Celebrations at North

Get your holiday spirit on Vikings!

Each homeroom will be collecting food for the food bank and contributing to an unwrapped toy for a particular age group. Ask your Period 1 teacher for more details!

Get your gear ready:

Dec 14th – Wear your favourite (and school-appropriate) PJs

Dec 15th – Warm winter hats and scarves are to be worn today. Word on the street is that there will also be a pancake breakfast buy-in. Listen to VTV for more details.

Dec 16th – Ugly Holiday Sweater Day

Dec 17th – North Pole Day (dress up like Santa, Mrs. Claus, the elves, reindeer or other northern characters)

Dec 18th – Red and Green Day and the Winter Holiday assembly

International Lunch

Don’t forget to bring money to purchase food at the International Lunch fair on December 8th. Treats, drinks and entrees usually range from $0.25 to $3.00 each. It is a delicious opportunity to experience the world at BNC!

Travel to Vimy Ridge

SCDSB secondary students can travel to Europe in April 2017 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Rdige.  To learn more about the Vimy Ridge student experience, watch this video from EF Tours, the trip provider.

Simcoe County Regional Science and Technology Fair

This year’s fair will take place Friday, April 1st and Saturday, April 2nd, 2016 at Bear Creek Secondary School. If you are interested in submitting a project, please contact your Science teacher.
