Get involved this Fall!

September is an incredibly busy time at Barrie North. Below you can find reminders about events and activities for students and parents. Wishing you the best of luck as you move forward in this new school year.

PARENTS

Progress Reports – Student progress reports will be sent home on Tuesday, September 30th.

Parent Teacher Night – If you would like to speak with your student’s teachers, please sign up for parent-teacher interviews. Interviews run on Thursday, October 2nd from 6pm to 8pm at Barrie North. Your student will be bringing home a sign-up sheet on which you can indicate the meeting times that work best for you.

Parent Workshops – Click here to learn more about workshops that the Simcoe County District School Board will be offering for parents this 2014-2015 school year.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS

There are many ways for students to develop their life, learning and leadership skills outside the walls of BNC. Click on the links below to learn more about how to travel overseas on a student exchange, experience Queen’s Park, or make a difference in preventing drinking and driving amongst youth.

Are you interested in traveling and living abroad? Consider doing a student exchange. You can find more information about these types of opportunities at the  International Student Exchange Ontario website.

Spend time at Queen’s Park. Apply for the  Legislative Assembly of Ontario Model Parliament.
